According to what I'm seeing on the news, this guy is not a right wing extremist. He has suffered from prolonged untreated mental illness. He saw a  bandwagon passing by and jumped on it. It was coincidentally a political bandwagon.

This is an on going problem in our society. People suffer from some degree of mental illness. They do or commit some outrageous or criminal act, and get labled according to whatever superficial evidence is indicative. Often to fit some narrative. An uneducated and distracted mass populace blissfully ignorant of the complexities of untreated mental illness suck it all up as sold, and the cycle of misinformation marches merrily on, uninterrupted by the inconvenience of clear factual perception.
While true, concentrating on the actual problem serves no political purpose.

    So... yeah.

Let's see, he first voted (ever) in 2015 as a Republican. Has claimed to be a Seminole Native American but his father was Filipino and his mother was Italian. He supports White Nationalist and KKK rhetoric. His mother tried to get him to seek help for decades then finally threw his ass out. He worked as a night-time pizza delivery driver because of his "Billboard" van. He has a lengthy rap sheet and his own lawyer said he has the mental capacity of a 14 year old.

    Hmm......

Kinda seems like a nut-job to me.  A lost wheel looking for a cause to give his own miserable existence meaning.

We can all "Thank" ( >:) ) him for the gift he's given the Democrats.

I guess we'll see how it plays out at the polls.

Was it more or less dangerous than an old digital clock pulled apart and mounted in a pencil case?
The 'movie prop' bombs were less dangerous than 'Clock Boy's' disassembled digital clock because the disassembled digital clock in a box worked.

And seriously, what kind of pinhead moronic window licking fool builds a pipe bomb out of PVC pipe? PVC pipe has low bursting strength compared to black iron or galvanized water pipe. To make PVC effective requires a source of REAL high explosive to make up for the weak qualities of the PVC. And that requires a REAL commercial detonator to set off.

The non functioning bombs had the desired effect; they caused the whole country, at least the part that don't have two brain cells to rub together, to run around with their head on fire, and cause all the political pundits to sling blame in every direction hoping some of it would stick. And all just a couple of weeks before the mid term elections.

Conspiracy theory off the top of my head. FBI is seriously pissed because Trump is taking out their leadership and making them look like domestic enemies. They groom this guy with a guy they have dirt on to make and send the bombs. The groomer is a low level guy that has been caught committing a crime, and after the bombs are sent, he's killed and it's made to look like a drug deal gone bad, or similar situation. Plausible deniability thus obtained, as long as those involved in the FBI keep their cake holes shut.
