Turkey hunting vest for deer hunting

I have been thinking of getting a “turkey hunting” vest to use in deer hunting.  It seems like it would be a better setup for the ”truck hunting” that we do in these parts instead of the backpack I have been using.  Most of the stuff I carry in the backpack are things like Bono’s, range finder, spare gloves, warm hat, couple snacks and a bottle or two of water.  Seems like I could carry that in a more easy to access way in a turkey vest than in a backpack.

Granted, it would not be able to be used as a rest for the rifle in a prone position, and it would limit carrying capacity.

Thoughts?  Anyone else tried this?
