Now that I have had some time....the barn in the morning when I was going out to do chores...that cup of good coffee as we start to drift the river on a crisp fall morning.....Sweetgrass....Fresh bread coming out of the oven...and puppy breath...

On a more unusual turn ...... When I was a teen, I always had a styrofoam cooler of nightcrawlers in the basement. Always liked the smell of the worm bedding

I'd arrive at my High School at 0600-ish, and could smell the C-rolls from "Flaky Donut", a couple of blocks from the school. Fortunately, "Flaky Donut" delivered to the high school - I'd step out on the porch of the cafeteria kitchen, and I could hear the ancient VW Bus with no muffler fire up, and I knew the C-rolls were on their way!
They'd usually get there about 0615, I'd get a free one because I helped the cafeteria ladies setup. At 0630, the old groundskeeper would arrive to walk past the cafeteria to clock in. On his way back, he'd pick me up, and we'd go park his truck and go over to the Metal Shop for a Bull Session with the Metal Shop teacher and whoever else showed up. 0730, school would start, I'd go off to class, the groundskeeper and Metal Shop teacher would start their day too!
To this day I love me some C-rolls, esp. if I can get them fresh outta the oven at Cinnabon BEFORE they ruin them with that stupid frosting they insist on using.

As a kid we would go to the local Italian place and many times they had candles burning. Being the bored kid, I found that ground black pepper in an open flame smells REALLY GOOD. Surprised they don't make incense out of it.

Gun control laws make about as much sense as taking ex-lax to cure a cough.
And I’ll add, along with fresh cut alfalfa, cow and horse poop. 😬 Just a cowboy thing, I guess..
