lion sightings in my neighborhood

Over this past weekend, there were several sightings of a mountain lion in our neighborhood.  We live in a suburban neighborhood of about 6000 houses, approximately 40 miles SW of Ft. Worth.  We're not exactly in a remote location.

Our neighborhood is also just below a local lake, and more or less on a peninsula created by the Brazos River.  And, there's a lot of pecan orchards and deer.

My guess is that the cat is just passing through, although the abundance of food might give it paus.

That's crazy. I'd have never thought they'd be that far east in Texas.

I agree, but I guess they're where you find them.

Well, I know they're this far east and about 50 miles farther at least. Actually, I think they're all over this state. They've been around here for 60 years I know of and longer. I'm not a blind nature lover. You won't find me out in the sticks unarmed.

Come to think of it, since that scumbag shot up that church in Sutherland Springs below San Antonio, you won't find me unarmed in town either.
    Daddy, what's an enabler?
Son that's somebody with nothing to do with his time but keep me in trouble with mom.
