One Less Yote in the World!
Been getting more pics of a few yotes in my game cameras lately.

And they hit the gut pit every time I throw a carcass in there. So, I went out this morning to try and thin them out.
Sat in a deer blind watching several sendero with the hopes of catching a coyote crossing. As it got light, I started seeing deer but no yotes. So, I decided to try calling.
Pulled out my handheld jackrabbit call and blew for about 30 seconds. Picked up the rifle and waited.
Not 2 minutes later, a yote pops out of a sendero about 50 yards away and starts walking towards the stand.
I aim out the window, he stops and stares, I send a 52gr Nosler HPBT through his chest at 37 yards with my Ruger American Ranch Rifle in .223 Rem.
Dead yote.
Unfortunately, I almost immediately see another yote dart across another sender about 200 yards away and disappear. Guess I have more work to do.

"The Un-Tactical"
I was hunting with my cousin out in Colorado in the Comanche National Grasslands and he was working a howler...I saw a coyote coming in from about 300 yards out...making a bee line...as soon as my cousin switched to a rabbit squeal that coyote immediately locked up, swapped ends and left the area in high gear....the younger female that was coming in at the same time kept right on coming, much to her misfortune...
And someone has to ask. Did you eat it?
Son that's somebody with nothing to do with his time but keep me in trouble with mom.
😁
Anybody else notice the rather rioe smell smell of a yote?
