  I'm actually not against him having the right to purchase whatever he wants... obviously restricting him from doing so had no effect on him legally doing so as it was, why not loosen those restrictions entirely?  Frankly, if the guy is considered to be enough danger to society that he can't be trusted with basic inalienable rights, why is he out amongst society in the first place?  Conversely, if he can be trusted to be out and about, why is he restricted? 
  
  It's time to face facts... those tasked with protecting the public cannot or will not.  They will, however, come up with 500 really good reasons why they couldn't, didn't and shouldn't.  Rest assured, NOBODY will come forward and admit stepping on their dick and allowing this guy - and countless others - to remain unfettered, unrestrained and uncontrolled.  They will continue to collect their pay, live their lives and keep doing just enough to allow that to happen.  Consequently, you are on your own, so you must.
