So I Decided On A "Sentry Safe" Handgun Safe

Read the reviews and ordered it from Amazon. It's not cheap. And it won't stop a determined thief, but it will keep grand kids from shooting Meme and  Poppi... As well as each other.

It has a key lock, a touch pad code and a finger reader.

First, if you follow the instructions to the letter, it appears to work just fine.

I keyed in the code and it works every time, but with just enough hesitation to make you wonder if it's going to. By hesitation, I mean a fraction of a second (but a long fraction!)

The finger reader has been flawless (but again, you have to read and follow the instructions for programming.)

My wife tried her finger for the first time in 4 weeks and it opened.

It's a one gun model, but it holds both my CZ P-01 and my wife's Charter .38!

It's a source of great pride for me, that when my name is googled, one finds book titles and not mug shots. Daniel C. Chamberlain
