Jeff, that is fantastic!  What are the details on the bird as far as shot size, distance, etc?

I bought that Winchester 1300 turkey gun off a buddy years ago , this bird fell to a head on shot at thirty yards 23/4 inch copper plate number 5 shot extra full choke that came with the gun. It was a bang flop. I walked in this am and called, he was treed less than  a hundred yards from where I was sitting. I heard him fly down and just teased him into coming my way. Three other gobblers were coming from the opposite side at the same time .

Nothing better than slipping that close to a roost tree undetected and knowing that it’s just a matter of time.  Great work!

As for the shells, I killed my very first bird with Winchester “silver box” Walmart specials in copper plated #5 years back.  The stuff is just as deadly as anything else when paired with an extra full choke like you used.
