I won't make it back to Pennsylvania for the bear muzzleloader season, but I did just book a flight back to hit the concurrent archery bear/archery deer seasons in Lackawanna County (eastern Pennsylvania in and around the Pocono Mountain range) at the top of November.

My buddy just bought 100 acres up there and had a few problem bears whacking the feeders he set up to get a look at the bucks on his place over the Summer.  There's at least a respectable chance that they will still be around despite the feeders being pulled for the start of archery deer season.

We finally achieved decent hunting weather. Today's high is 58°F.

We're not even close back at my MO farm.  I have been following the weather while deployed and it's still hitting the mid-80's.

It's bear season in MI....and apparently a pretty productive on...my butcher limits himself to 10 a year and took in his last one for the season while I was there Wednesday...local bear that went just over 400 pounds on the scale...big old boar they were running with hounds

Good to hear that people are filling their bear tags up there.  In dense woods like you have in MI, even seeing a black bear is hardly a given, even over bait.
