Veteran's Day
Tomorrow is Veteran's Day, and it's less than one day and two hours to 11/11/11, the 11th month, 11th day, 11th hour when the Armistice was signed ending WW1. Time to reflect on all those veterans from 1776 to the present who served and the far too many who gave up all their tomorrows for our today. Give the veterans a shout out tomorrow when you see them.
In Flanders Fields
By John McCrae
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie,
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields. “I refuse to answer that question on the grounds that I don't know the answer”

Just off the phone.
Four aged warriors to pick up and take to Remembrance Church Parade in the morning.
hope Dads old Honda Jazz will take the weight of the medals.
Someone got very busy in church;
I fear no foe, with Thee at hand to bless
Ills have no weight, and tears no bitterness
Where is death's sting?
Where, grave, thy victory?
I triumph still, if Thou abide with me
some dust in the air with that one.
they got a couple or four drinks in the pub across from the church and a ride home.

Tried to start a thread with this on it, as we celebrate the 100th year anniversary of Armistice Day.
