I saw a big owl last night. They do deserve more dignity. :/

Agreed, but that is pretty funny. Owls are awesome. I really wanted him to kick it off the shelf or just squish it in his talons. Most people don't realize the strength of the talons.

Of all the owls, screech owls are my faves. They used to come into the maple trees in the yard at the old home place of my Grandparents, and sit and do their call, and then go to the creek and catch crayfish. They brought the crayfish to the maple trees, at them, and dropped the shells. My Granddad got a kick out of that. They do the same thing on the farm here, but they eat the crayfish they catch along the creek in the trees. I have some wood duck boxes up on the creek and the screech owls use them year round. I just put up more wood duck boxes for the ducks.

I saw a big owl early one morning just before daylight get a squirrel that came out too soon. No noise until those talons squeezed down on the squirrel, and not much even then. Those talons are something else.
