6.5 Creedmoor vs coyote (very graphic)
Last week I was hunting coyotes on my neighbors high fence ranch that borders the sound end of my ranch. This coyote popped out at the far end of the field at 260 yards. It was breezy but not overly windy. He acted as though he never heard my fox pro caller. Never even put his head up. He was trotting and I thought I led him good. I was wrong, I gut shot him with a 143 Gr ELD bullet from my 6.5 CM.
He reared up and dropped. When he reared up you could see his intestines hanging out. The bullet darn near disemboweled him. Total devastation, never seen anything like it.
Here’s a very graphic photo.

Distance is not an issue, but the wind can make it interesting!
