S&W Victory range report

Got out today for a quick range trip with the Victory. Fired about 100 rounds all off hand at about 15 yards.

Shot a variety of ammo hunting the most accurate. Eley Club did OK.

Blazer tightened up a bit more:

Adjusted the sights a bit then tried some bulk Federal Auto Match:

That works! Fired a couple more mags of the same to make sure I didn't get lucky 10 times. Similar results and I've got about 5,000 rounds of the auto match!

i really like the grips and trigger from Tamdemkross.

Had a few stove pipes but don't think any were when shooting the Federal ammo. I was running the gun a bit dry so that could have contributed to the issue.

    The gun shoots.
I run a few extra drops of Hoppes gun solvent into the clean action of my 22 autos before storage rather than oil. I live in a dry climate. They run good until dirt prevents full speed extraction, slowing the bolt. Some stoppages happen with 22's. Ammo, dirt, newness, temperature, and other factors sneak up on us.

Looking really good with that bulk ammo.  Looks like you have a winner.

Yeah, I should've advised you: keep that thing lubed well on the slide contact points.  It's a pretty light slide, and you'll get a weak reset cycle if you don't lube it well and/or let it get exceedingly dirty.  Mine did exactly that on my first range trip on account of forgetting to remove the factory preservative and put proper lube on it.  A quick wipe and lube after each trip and it's never been an issue since.
Accuracy: because white space between bullet holes drives me insane.

Great shooting.  I've heard nothing but good reports on this pistol.
Concealed carry is for protection, open carry is for attention.

Nice, thanks for the report. The Victory is one of the few .22’s still on my “should acquire” list.
