GB and Armslist ain’t gonna happen. I don’t like strangers that much.
Then there’s your answer then.    For what it’s worth, I’ve actually had great luck with both.  Actually met some very nice folks through Armslist.  Got my last Kimber on Armslist and it’s become one of my favorite CC guns.  But I get it, not for everyone.

I don't have a 1911 in 9mm... That one is one of the nicest looking factory guns I've seen in a while.. I have LOTS of 9mm ammo....

Nope.  I'm mad at you now... And I don't need one of those still....  :|

    I’m not any more... Squirrel!!!

But there’s a good chance I’ll give you a dirty look one day, still...🤷🏻‍♂️

As as far as the Kimber trade, I’d do that if the Ronin isn’t going to replace it as a safe queen or if you want it to replace it a safe queen. Me.... my Kimber has holster wear and small patches of former blood rust spots from training.. But that Ronin might just be too pretty...

I will have to mull this over. Maybe ask them tomorrow what they would give me if traded.
If it ain’t worth it.......no loss. If it is......easy peasy.

I don’t need/want the Ronin bad enough to fork over $800+ (with tax). But, if a trade makes it less painful for a gun I would use more.......might do it.

Sound plan.  If I can get to a gun that I want relatively painlessly by disposing of one I do not I have no issues doing so.

I almost made a similar deal but balked at the last minute. So glad I did. So make sure you are sure. Or just save for the one you want.

I, personally, would do it. If I didn't already have a 9mm 1911 that I'm quite fond of, the Ronin would get a serious look. It's basically set up EXACTLY how I'd want a 1911.

Well, I broke the Kimber out and fondled her a bit today. As little a fan of the .45 ACP as I am.......it’s still a nice pistol. Maybe my recent handloading endeavor with the 185gr GD will rekindle my love for her and make her useful again. It’s not worth a trade.
I have five 1911 pistols and they all reside in the safe. No real reason to add another. Though it’s a good looking one.

Six would be much better. Half a dozen, six pack, sixer, etc.

Another publication that I won't name did a detailed review of these guns (.45 full size and 9mm commander) this month. After reading that glowing review, I'm looking up prices on the 9mm commander size...

I'm past my 1911 phase.  I have two and they're great pistols, but huge.  Got a Star BM 9 which is 1911-ish but small and in 9mm.  Love it, if that counts.
Concealed carry is for protection, open carry is for attention.
