  How did it go on for 12 hours? that is nearly unheard of in this day and age.
  
  I suppose now we watch as Trudeau tries to legislate the unlegislatable and out virtue signal the likes of Ardern.
  Law abiding Canadians are inevitably the losers.

  IIRC handguns with 4” of barrel or less are banned as is carrying for SD.  Guns are still pretty available in Canada.  They are all supposed to be registered but when the law went into effect they got a super low % compliance and almost no Police enforcement.

  And a 12 hour rampage? Or was it a short rampage and then a long pursuit?

  The authorities will eventually sort things out (I hope) but it's still a tragic story. Prayers out to the victims.
