Something to keep in mind.
I got to thinking today about how there's been some new folks signed up here lately. I'm sure many of you are aware of how easy it is to be taken wrongly on any non face to face communication, text, forum, social media, etc... And I don't mean to be preaching to anyone because frankly, I'm just some schmoe behind a screen also. But here's what I'm trying to get at here. Most of yall know one another and know each others personality, traits, likes, dislikes, etc... which likely took years to do. It's easy to take a stranger the wrong way and some of us aren't the best at articulating what we're really trying to say and it's easy to come off wrong. I'm sure I've come off as being on the asshole spectrum myself before too, and if so I apologize to anyone I've angered. I just figure that we can learn the same traits about any new people that come around if we give them the time of day. Anyhow, thats my rant-ish advice. Ya'll have a good rest of your evening.

Gun control laws make about as much sense as taking ex-lax to cure a cough.
We all have good days and bad days, and sometimes one of the cats here gets their fur rubbed the wrong direction. Don't pay it too much attention. Like my Granddad said, "Boys, the main thing is to not get excited." Made sense to me then, and still does.

When I started posting again I had a pretty good idea of who and how most members would react to most anything. I got to know them, instead of forcing them to get to know me. It made things much easier. While I'll be the first to agree that all new members should be shown every courtesy and mild mis-steps overlooked.....it's not smart to walk into a bar and yell "I'm the toughest SOB in here".
This wasn't directed at you, Justsomedude. I've enjoyed your posts. Glad you're here.
Just an observation.

To add: I hope I explained that properly as that goes back to me not always properly articulating my point.
