Double barrel shotgun guys thoughts ?
It is a 20 gauge SxS
It is out of Utica NY
Single trigger with selector.
Was an employee gun....can tell by the stick.
It pointed great.....too darn good.
What should they run price wise ?
How good/bad are they ?

Could be...what does it say on the barrels? On a Savage Fox all that info is on the barrel...

Not a bad shotgun, I've had several...dependable but a bit on the clunky side...

Should have a beavertail fore end...

    I was hoping you'd comment.
Yes it does have the beavertail fore end. It does say fox and special was on the barrel too.
    Definitely Utica ny.
I was too taken by the wood it distracted me from details.
It looks like tiger striped black Walnut to me.
It didn't feel clunky to me but have never owned a SxS

There is one at this owners house I've been trying to get for years though.

The Utica marking confirms its a Savage...your assumption that it's a B Model is pretty much spot on...probably a BSE (Model B ,Single Trigger, Ejectors) if I recall correctly...
Some of them came with really nice wood....or it might have been re-stocked...you could get some nice stuff from Fajen back then.

I've had a couple of 12 ga.  Honest guns,  blue-collar shotguns. The 870 of SxS. Mine had pressed checkering, IIRC.  The 20 gauge ones are more desirable, and the 12s are a bit clunky.
Concealed carry is for protection, open carry is for attention.
