  Those are great!
  Ive read about an old engine that was restored here in Evergreen CO., and watched a tv show about it. It said the old wooden ladders are irreplaceable.

  I'm kinda vapor-locking when I think of the process you must have gone through.  Do what degree does one "restore" such a thing?  By which I mean that I'm pretty sure Monroe doesn't make shocks and Delco doesn't make spark plugs.

  Wow!  Jay Leno had a restored fire truck in his Garage show.  Not as sleek as the two above, recovered from the woods where it had been dumped.  The engine is huge.

  As near as we can tell, it is the only 1928 Seagrave Quad that was built. One of one. I would hate to even guess how rare the 1917 La France is now.

  Thank you for all the complements. It's been a very long road. Unfortunately the aerial mechanism and ladder had gone to who knows where and the replacement was rotted. So we had to get the wood out of Canada and build it from scratch. KSU...beautiful Seagrave. We have a 1916 Seagrave that possibly needs a new clutch that we haven't got to yet. For those of you that do Face Book and want to see more look up Reno Fire Antique and Classic Apparatus. You will have to do a lot of scrolling to find the pertinent information.

  Those trucks are absolutely gorgeous!  Good for you guys, keeping history alive for generations to come!  The looks on little kids (And the big kids too) eyes when they see those rolling down the street will be worth every minute spent on this endeavor.
