Hey when you researched that pretty Fox, was there a name for that square dowel through the rear tenion lock up???Since Im asking questions.....I don't even know what the lock up is called on my old Stevens? Its a mortess and tenion with a square cut out at the top rear.

You have an Anson & Deeley boxlock with the
cross bolt (third bite) or in your case I
think you only have one lump, so a second bite.
Bites in the lumps and the crossbolt bite marked in red.
Basically not that far removed from the classic Fox.
The new Savage Fox A Grade, made by
Connecticut Shotgun Manufacturing, are just a straight Anson & Deeley.
