I think I am going to buy a new truck
Not on my timeline, but the 07 Black ex cab whole bed F250 Lariat needs some real work to make it through inspection. Almost enough to make me run it to a dealer...... or so I thought. I had seen some used ones from the one big "lease turn in" reseller, now not a 250 to be seen. One white one with 19K and the DOT limo cab and short bed at another Lease turn in dealer.
For kicks I searched new and I found a brandy new black ex cab whole bed F250 XLT in my area. Its 8K more than the only lease turn in. I had planned about 1.5-2 years more on the 07, but it needs a little love and the Northeast road treatment is starting to affect the body in bad ways. I had pretty much talked myself out of a whole bed and into a 6.5', but this 8' is cheaper than the short beds. Probably for the same reason I got the 07 cheaper. A 8' bed isnt as good a grocery getter and wont fit into condo garages.
2 years would have made this smoother..
It's boring, and your lack of creativity knows no bounds.

I like to remember old trucks Ive owned and driven for a living. Those memories are rife with spin. If I got a test drive in what I drive now way back then, I'd be speechless.
Low mileage used might be more economical than new. Worth a look.

I think a 77' Chevy I bought in Colorado in the late 80's was the first car I had without rear wheel well trunk ventilation.......

There are 3 lease return/rental dealers within 100 mi. There is 1 F250 and it isnt a great deal.
You get to pay for the loan fees and charges. Not huge, but if its avoidable, why pay it? Its not like a savings or bank money market is paying a huge interest rate so you wont earn what you spent over the term of the loan, and if you pay for it, you actually own it.
