If Trump loses the election it won't be because he didn't have majority popular support. I saw Nancy Pelosi on the pbs news hour last night. She couldn't even assemble one single solitary coherent sentence. This is the face of master mind socialist conspiracy???

Basically the left wing media and the right wing pundants have rounded up the whole country into two opposing domestic fish ponds. One timed feeder spews blue pellets, the other red. All depending on what random event can be spun into the crisis of convenient mantra. I am not a fish. I see pellets, I go the other way.

If you saw Nancy Pelosi on PBS News Hour after 5 o'clock then you can be safe to bet that she had at least a pint or more of high dollar whiskey in her belly. And alcohol interferes with Alzheimer's/dementia drugs. And she isn't the mastermind of anything; she's the sock puppet of the ones controlling the Democrats. Like George Soros.

As to that second part, what is right is right, and what's wrong is wrong, and it doesn't take a lot of brain power to figure that out. Reading 'The Communist Manifesto' would be helpful here, as would doing some refresher reading on world history from the 1880's to the start of WWII. The pattern is there for anyone willing to do so and connect the dots. We're approaching a tipping point.

I usually agree with your posts but that is complete rubbish. For starters, I don't watch television. Don't even have one in the house. I will also grant you that there are republicans who are complete idiots. However, it's not conservatives who are looting, vandalizing private and public property, rioting, committing arson, stealing, tearing down monuments, and throwing temper tantrums in the streets - that honor belongs to the Marxist controlled democrats who are openly promoting it and showing their vehement hatred for this nation. You state that you "go the other way." My question for you is: which way will that be when you no longer have any place to go? What's going on today is unprecedented. For years we have seen nearly all our academic institutions taken over by communist ideology and our youth repeatedly indoctrinated and brainwashed into loathing their own country and fed the bull**** and lies of Marxism. What's going on today exactly parallels what the Sturmabteilung did and accomplished during the 20s and 30s. What's next? Storm our public libraries and burn books? How many cities have we seen now where the City Council has turned their backs on law and order and given free reign to these parasites? This insanity is festering like an open wound and unless we unite and stop it America will be doomed as a Constitutional Republic.

The OP in this thread linked an editorial. My problem is not with Republicans. Its with partisan editorial pundants. IMO nothing happening is unprecedented. Pandemics and riots are not new.

Niether is fearmongering. The muslims are going to get us, the commies are going to get us, the liberals are going to get us, the socialists are going to get us, Obama's going to take our guns, Antifa's going to get us, BLM's going to get us, OMG the world is coming to an end. Really? Here's the most inportant part. Don't forget to tune in to my next show, blog, twitter feed, column, etc..

TEMPORARY? They are taking down paintings of our forefathers in the halls of congress, taking movies out of libraries, not just defacing and tearing down monuments but have governments removing them also. Singing the "black national anthem" whatever that is before the National Anthem at football games. The list goes on and on. Early you need to open your eyes brother

Many of these things that are being addressed as the undoing of America, are social or political narratives. Such narratives are subject to change. Removal is not destruction, and can be reversed. Such reversals have happened before. American social culture is saturated with opulent consumerism. Our central government is fueled by a multitrillion dollar capitalist system. It makes the purported threat of socialism an enigma. There's no doubt about the narrative itself. Even an obstinate perpetual sceptic like me sees the show. I just don't agree with the fire alarm.

"They're all the same" - yea, they are. Just depends on where "the pendulum" is at any given point. Yea, the Left is completely out in "left field" as the saying goes, and I cannot condone anything they're doing right now.

The Right isn't nearly as bad at this point, not even by a couple or three orders of magnitude - BUT - they're not all Lilly white either despite what the GOP loyalists on this forum and elsewhere would have one believe. Those few Americans who really cherish as much freedom/liberty as possible see both Right and Left as two sides of the Slavery coin. I've said it before, I'll say it again, and I'll keep on saying it: People DO NOT WANT true freedom, they just want fair masters (who agree with them on the surface at least). I don't want masters of any kind, I want to be left the Hell alone by everybody. Unfortunately, BOTH major parties have an agenda - Big Chief simplified it as "The Party of Marx" or "The Party of Jesus", but its gotten worse and more complicated since he passed through the veil. BOTH are complicit in corporate greed as well, blah, blah, blah. Both also seem to subscribe to the mantra: "Anything worth doing is worth doing to the greatest extreme possible."

Just for the record.
I personally don't think the parties are the same. I think they share alike characteristics. The use of rhetoric to misdirect and manipulate, the collection of massive corportate funding, and the reciept of illicit gains from elected positions of power are among some of the most glaring.

I also see a pronounced distinction between politicians their paid pundants, and the ordinary citizens that make up the electorate.

Im not sure I understand the question? Unless Ive accidentally miss used proper diction, Ive made no intentional reference to education or level of intelligence.

The intent of my statement is that politicians and paid pundants are of disingenuous and nefarious intent regardless of party. Ordinary citizens affiliated with the political party D or R are generally and mostly not of that discription.

I'm sometimes (often? always?) not as clear as I'd like to be. Early's post about "not the same, but share common characteristics" is closer to what I'm trying to say. They both promulgate slavery, but the form differs (and I don't want either form). And again, RIGHT NOW, and frankly for the foreseeable future, the Right is getting my support because they are, FOR NOW, by far the lesser of two evils. Whether or not they stay that way is up to them to a degree, but also for the Left. The Left is completely off the rails in an incomprehensibly insane manner. Trump is the best thing to ever happen to the Right, although of course the man isn't perfect! But none of this means the Right is "oh so great" or perfect - they have their own problems that I want little to do with.

I'm best described as a "right leaning Libertarian" if one is looking for labels. Libertarians are hated by both the Left AND the Right because we don't buy into either one's crap.

In my mind, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer and crew can not honestly believe the crap they spew. It is beyond anti Trump, he just happens to be in the way of their agenda more than a regular politician would be. That is why he has been attacked since day 1.
I think Candace Owens is one of the few that truly understand what is happening in America. It is not new, it has nothing to do with George Floyd or the face of BLM.
You have to look much deeper. Look at how the left and blacks have attacked Terry Cruz because he said something close to BLM is starting to look like black supremacy.
The top level Democrats are willing to let the common folk think they are behind them but they are really only using them to control the people and get filthy rich. Unless there truly is change we will be just like Peru or Venezuela soon. We all have read Antonio's posts on how things really are there

The thing about paid pundants like Owens for example. Is that there are things in their narratives that are true. Making it easy to percieve their entire message as true. Well the above is dependant on interpretation, the profit motive should always help guide the interpreter.

The political attacks on Trump by politicians are a contest over money. Vast amounts of it. There's still truth and facts hidden within the lies waiting for interpretation. Just the same as falsehoods hidden inside the truth.

Its largely interpretation that's at the root of our contentions. As it should be. Blanket acceptance or dismissal of the message bassed the source or what capitol letter precedes the name is something Im not willing to entertain.

FDR's new deal policies were railed against as socialism. The right wing narrative is quick to acknowledge the greatest generation. Well in the same breath would have us believe they were all fools for voting FDR in for four consecutive terms. This is a prime example of truths and falsehoods mixed together for an aimed narrative. They also exist and get propagated by the left......

FDR was called out as bad or worse than Cortez or Sanders. Yet he was voted in four consecutive terms, by the greatest generation.

Poking around on line. I can see the popularity of the socialist alarm. My views are in the extreme minority within the gun community. If I can call it that. I can live with that. Time will reveal what's real and true to whatever extent that's possible.

The difference I see between democrats and republicans is that the democrats want as much control over American citizens as possible, while the republicans want some control, it is not nearly as much as the dems. I suppose you could call it favoring the lesser of two evils, but if we have to accept any evil at all, I'll take the republican version any day of the week.
