Taurus TX22
I purchased a new Taurus TX22 (a nice format pistol that fits my mand perfectly) in October of 2019. Fired >300 rounds of .22 LR (CCI MiniMag, Remington Golden Bullet, and Federal American Eagle) ammo, all copper jacketed or plated. Unfortunately, the pistol jams more that 50% of the time. I contacted Taurus Customer Service (CS) about this; I was asked to provide a picture of the recoil spring, and did so. CS responded that they would send a replacement recoil spring. After hearing nothing more for a couple months, contacted them again; was told the item is backordered and there was no info about when a replacement could be provided. Months passed, and I heard nothing more from them. Have tried to contact them since; it has now been more that 9 months. I have received no response to my latest email --- 2 - 3 weeks ago.
Anyone had similar experiences? Anyone know how to get Taurus CS to respond? I'd really like to be able to use this pistol --- but using it as it is would not be feasibe.

Post that same message on their facebook page. Nothing snotty, just the facts. I have had to do that to a different company and they responded quite promptly. Esp since quite a few will see it.

Especially since it was less than 500 round through it. Can't trust it and don't want to wait a year for Taurus to do something.

And don't get me started on Taurus or Chiacrapa!!

On almost all the finicky, stubborn semiauto pistols I've seen and tested, most eventually ran with HV 40gr. CCR or lead ammo. Worst were the Erma "Luger" clones that finally worked with that "punchy" stuff although eventually destroyed themselves due to poor materials and excessive wear.
Have seen others that also needed a magazine lips reconfiguration for proper feeding timing and/or angle; quite common in Sig Mosquitos and Walther P22s.
Hope the problem is just the recoil spring. Maybe you also need to test it with more brands/types of ammo trying to find if it becomes reliable with a particular one and stick to it. Also might need more firing time to loose it enough for proper working.
Taurus is a problematic brand at least regarding the models imported here. They are good sellers but mostly to those needing a handgun rather than those wanting one, usually private security guards, cops or people with a tight budget.
Other than those, have yet to find someone in the recreational shooting community actually owning or using one.
At least their Beretta 92 version works decently, their 1911 clones seem to work and the classic .38 Special 4" revolver is a decent performer (after checking proper adjustment of the cylinder assembly) but the rest are usually plagued with assorted small issues that makes them range bummers.
