Damn.......you guys aren’t supposed to be keeping tabs on me like that. 😁

Yeah, I have the Savage Hog Hunter. Was actually a good gun. But, I took the barrel and stock off. Built my fast twist .22-250 with the action, a Shilen, and B&C Varmint Stock.

Someone has to watch you! Still a Savage. Just a little prettier.  B)

Really digging the 112 Magnum idea! I can't believe the MSRP is so low for what your getting.

That there is one funny looking hog!  Oh, wait, I bet you confused the poor gun by putting a varmint stock on it.

I think alot of people don't know that you can rebarrel a savage the traditional way, without a barrel nut. Not saying that y'all don't know but many other people.

That would kinda take away what I consider the main draw to a Savage.

Won't this be your 2nd Savage? I seem to recall a Hog Hunter.
That’s right!  Does that mean you finally have to wear the hat 😁
I may have a hard time remembering last week, but I damn sure remember Z getting a Savage!

Would have been either the .404 Jeffery Doe, or the .458 Winchester Doe.
I found this on the .458 Winchester Doe.

Either way, I gotta finish getting my boy his Creedmoor and then save some pennies for the Lapua if that’s the route I go.
Wasn’t really looking to get a Lapua. But.........brass.........why the hell not?!?

You have both the space and the know-how to use it.  Go forth and conquer.

No shame in a Savage for this application.  The .416 Rigby/.338 Lapua platform usually necessitates small runs of completely upsized actions which brings along the completely upsized price tag.  You can get there for a lot less in this case.  We know they shoot - and who cares if they're ugly when you're gonna camo it out anyway? :D

If the Savage provides the performance at a reasonable price, then a Savage you shall get. Probably need the hat too. And the T-shirt, with the indian chief logo, because it is politically incorrect.

Don’t push your luck. Just accept the rifle as a win. 😁

The kid will wear the Savage gear just because it looks cool.
