Did some scouting

Our deer season starts next tuesday, 1st of September. Yesterday I went to check out some fields in my hunting area.

Unfortunately every field I like to hunt still had crops unharvested. Here it's illegal to hunt on a field that hasn't been harvested and treshed yet.
Luckily one of my favourite fields was planted with peas and I contacted the landowner if I can shoot there despite of not being harvested and he said that it totally ok to shoot a deer there.
It was a beautiful day and I really loved walking by the fields, enjoying the surroundings and scents of the ripening crops.
It will be great to spend my fall by those fields again.

My cousin and uncle took this picture today standing at the front door in our hunting shack. Our food plot is to the right just past the bushes and the "Tower" deer stand that my dad and uncle built is just where the road disappears. Been a while since we have seen one right in the front yard.
