Picked up a 14'  Smoker Craft all welded aluminum Jon boat with a 9.9 Evinrude 2 stroke electric start OB on a good trailer, boat is perfect no dings, engine starts and runs great, trailer has some minor rust and needs a spare tire and wheel, brand new marine battery, 6 gal. fuel tank 3 PFD and 3 cushions, misc. other odds and ends $1500. I Think I got a good deal.

Not bad, good score on the electric start.  I picked up my '86 Sea Nymph (all aluminum, 19') for only $1,850 including motor and trailer.....but since then with new electronics, transom rebuild, re-power, new rigging, etc. I have an additional $15,000+ invested.  But it is now a solid, reliable boat.  Thing about boats is they always seem to need maintenance, but yours shouldn't need much since there is not much to go wrong with it.  I recommend either Ace Hardware or Academy Sports for the new tire/wheel assembly.

    Nice!

I once had a similar rig----it was a great fishing boat.
A little limited on big water with over 10-15 kts of wind and somewhat of a wet ride on
    choppy water.

When I bought my drift boat...I figured, " hey...it's a row boat...how much can stuff for it cost? " SO I went to buy some new oars...Laminated blades carbon fiber shafts...beautiful...you guessed it...$1,000.00...

Had the old wooden decks removed and replaced with powder coated aluminum ,  a new epoxy coat done on the bottom of the hull, and reinforcing the rib that supports the stern casting brace.....$1600.00
