Sharpening Stones
Yikes! last week I dropped the sharpening stone, a 10in x 4in Arkansas. its now in pieces! Looking for a decent replacement, large enough, fine enough, and flat enough to put a razor like edge on a full sized chef knife, and salmon filet knife. There are 100's of stones / kits available. Any suggestions?

And they could be unbeliveably sharp. Probably the first time in my life I actually needed stitches was pulling one out of the mud bare handed. But, my Dad, being a sheet-metal worker, firmly believed that all cuts, shy of spurting blood with each heartbeat, were well taken care of with gauze and duct tape. It's still a hell of a scar.
Much like the one from when I fell on a broken Coke bottle.
