Darned Fine $45.00 Bore Scope and Ringed AR15

I was leery but I ordered it because of the reviews (not always a good idea, I know).
These are MY pics of my well used AR15 gas tap hole and one of the chambers of the muzzle brake.
This borescope was $45.00, this one is a semi-rigid 36" model. They have rigid tubes but I would tweak it so I went with the semi.
I got this for the same reason any shooter would but more so because my original Colt Lightweight Sporter that I bought in the 80's has a "ringed" barrel. When I shot it last, at 50 yards, the target showed PERFECT sideways silhouettes of the bullet (also known as keying, right?).
While I was cleaning it I noticed a "healthy" amount of pressure while pushing the rod down the bore until I got to a certain point where the rod would "jump" for an inch or so and then back to the pressure.
I think I'll probably contact some dude and see if I can get it sorted out but I want to document the damage after I clean it some more and take more pics.
But if you ever lusted after an $1,100 Hawkeye borescope from way back when, . . .
One tip if you get one, Play with screwing the mirror in and out and securing it with a tiny bit of tape. Rudimentary focus adjustment.

That's all I got.
