Michigan Governor gets hers...

JayhawkerJayhawker Posts: 18,364 Senior Member
The Michigan Supreme Court has declared that all of Governor Whitmers Covid-related Executive Orders and mandates issued since April to be unconstitional and therefore null and void.

Since no Federal laws were violated there are no further appeals allowed...

She claims that her now unconstitutional edicts "have the force of law" for 21 more days...

Doesn't take effect for 21 days and she says she's not changing

She may be in for a surprise...but I'm sure she is furiously working to come up with "alternatives".....

But there is nothing in the courts finding that gives the governor a 21 day "grace period"...it says "effective upon publication".....and why in Gods name would the Mi SC allow something they just declared unconstitutional to be enforced another day longer...much less 21 days?

That is one twisted disgusting beotch! I agree with Zorba, I hope they vote her anti-American Mao worshipping commie ass out. A recall would be even better!

Amazing. Just like Kamala Harris did when she was AG of Commiefornia, this gal appears to work tirelessly against the rights of her citizens.

To have "force of law" it must actually be enforced.  I'm pretty sure the cops of Michigan have better things to occupy their time, like, maybe ACTUAL CRIMINALS.

So are the lost wages and pay reductions that resulted from Whitmer's unconstitutional over-reaches also now 'Null and Void"?

I think this ruling will open the door for some serious law suits

Speaking of governors with a Messiah complex, have you listed to New York's Andrew Cuomo lately?  He seems to have gone completely off the deep end with edicts and threats to shut everyone down.  I hope that someone in New York wakes up to what he and De Blasio are doing and run this up to the courts.

NY and NYC are ruined.  Wealthy and retirees leaving in droves.  Violence up, police demoralized and EMT's afraid to go into some neighborhoods.

    Yep.

One of my fears is that they move in down here and try to change to what they left.
