Range day (rifle version) mostly

Had the pleasure of sharing some range time today with none other than Elk Creek and a fine time it was.
I exercised a couple of rifles that came from my dads collection. A Ruger m77 international in .243 Win and an H&R Buffalo Classic 45-70. The Ruger I determined, needs new glass but did finally get on target. Nothing to brag about. The 45-70 was firing 385gr cast RN on top of 13gr of Trail Boss, what a hoot. Not particularly accurate but a lot of fun. I'll have to fiddle with that one a bit.
Took my Sako AV Battue in 7mm Rem mag and suffered a scope failure. It was a cheap old Bushnell so no great loss.
Elk Creek premiered his Marlin 32-20 lever action, It and he stole the show. he was making 200 yard hits on a 12" gong with regularity. That man can shoot. I was almost embarrassed to be on the next bench.
Forgot to take any pics so all you get is a story today.
All in all just a great morning with great company.
