  I'll make the .stl file for it available to anyone that wants it for free. It may need to be sized before printing but other than that it should be good. Most 3D printers can use it. I have a buddy printing the first one soon. Will keep you guys apprised.
  
  The only downside is I modeled it accurately so the bottom may need to be shaved down to sit flat.

  There is that, but I just looked in Amazon and searched “gun cylinder pen holder”.  There are several for sale for $14-19.  They are mostly metal but most don’t really look much like real cylinders.  There’s also the need for a 3D printer part of the exercise...
