Thoughts on an adjustable gas block for an AR PISTOL

On my AR rifles, I use superlative arms adjustable gas blocks. I like them a lot, easy adjustment, lots of adjustability and a non cloging design. Currently, they seem to be unattainable, especially in .750 clamp on style. I'm wondering if it's worth it in a pistol, 10.5 inch barrel, carbine length gas tube. I tend to think it would be more beneficial since I reload most all my ammo. Any thoughts? I may try another brand if the drought continues.

Any 5.56 carbine AR is using guts and ammo geared to run with a rifle-length gas system, and pressure at the gas port is MUCH higher as you move that port rearward. Also, the less barrel you have in front of the port, the less dwell time you have to pressurize the system, and the more gas you have to bleed by way of a larger port to get the gun to cycle. The result is that shorties tend to cycle violently and wear stuff out. Rifle ammo and gas operation in a platform best suited to pistol ammo and recoil or blowback operation - not my favorite engineering concept.
