Sig Romeo 2, when?

SunlinerSunliner Posts: 1 New Member
Well over a year ago Sig promoted the Romeo 2, coming soon. Then nothing, silence. Now in the latest issue of Guns and Ammo, March 2021, they placed an ad for it, teasing us. But on the Sig website, still nothing. Come on Sig, communicate! I've purposely delayed getting the Romeo 1 Pro because the Romeo 2 is supposedly coming soon.

Seems like they announced it and then got busy. Too bad, I like the idea.

They're waiting for Hi-Point to actually release the Yeet Cannon first!

Judging by the amount of places having blowout sales on the Romeo 1, it seems to me that they are “blowing out the channel”- making sure all the old stock is moved out and sold before announcing and selling the new product.

Doing that makes business sense since you don’t have a lower price old version diluting the sales of the new product, and it supports your retailers in that they don't get stuck with old product that they have to either discount even further, or that it competes with the new version that the reseller agreement (I’m guessing) makes them buy a certain amount on launch.

Apple does this in the tech industry, and from what I have seen- ATN does it with the X-Sight as well.  You see the unit on sale at EVERY retailer- you can be assured that a new version is coming as soon as they run out the old stock.
