Article in the latest 'Rimfire' special issue

The author, Mike Schoby must be looking for a wealthy elitist readership.  After his penned article 'The Pickup Plinker', I ran the numbers for his build.  $2,600!! Good Grief, even much more if you consider shipping, FFL fees, sales tax, over 10% in many localities, and potential credit card fleecing of 3%.  No doubt Mr. Schoby had the advantage of the perks awarded to authors who promote products.

AFAIK, no one from the magazine reads this forum. So ranting about an article here is a waste of time.
    Welcome to the forum though

    Welcome
No doubt those that pen the articles do not pay as we would.
I read them to pick up ideas for certain parts of their guns, like triggers.

Welcome!  So what kind of guns do you like to shoot?  Are you intro precision rimfire guns?  I agree that $2,600 is a lot of money for a “plinker” but hey, not my checkbook! 😁

One post rant, and our new person is done???
Oh well, I was hoping for more.
    Didn't read the article myself.
My two 22lr clone Charger plinkers were pretty inexpensive.
I won the stocks, barrels, and actions in a shooting match.
The triggers were the most expensive, not counting the optics.
