This sucks Covid scare
I'm not sure how I'm ever going handle getting sick moving forward. Last week I came down with a sinus infection. As that cleared I began to get the hard dry cough in my chest just like when I came down with Covid. I was vaccinated for Covid, Phenomena and the Flu this past Feb. This weekend my 02 was in the low 90's and high 80's and I was coughing more. I have an appointment with Pulmonary doctor the middle of July.
I went to the doctors and had a Covid test done which was negative as my doctor told me it would be. After my exam she told me I have bronchitis. This is normal as I usually get a case of bronchitis once a year. I got a steroid shot in my tender rear ender and a prescription to take for the next seven days. My doc thinks I have restrictive lung disease, where my lungs aren't inflating all the way. I get winded really easily. My buddy did some research on it for me. Actually I think we were both reading the same article. They're beginning to do a lot of testing and recommend enriched O2 therapy sessions in hyperbaric chamber for Covid long haulers. Hopefully my pulmonary doc has a good plan of action.
Moving forward this is going to suck every time I get sick and get a cough! Is it just a cold, bronchitis or has it comes back. It drives my wife nuts that I truly don't worry about many things. When I'm troubled I just give my worries to god and don't think about them much or again. I gave this to god many times this weekend and it kept boomeranging right back to me with every cough. I'm hoping it's not my new norm.

Distance is not an issue, but the wind can make it interesting!

The reality of it is you likely will be more susceptible to respiratory illness going forward and will need to be vigilant in maintaining healthy habits.

But you can give yourself a better chance by boosting your immune system. Taking a daily zinc and vitamin D supplement has helped everyone in my house skate through year after year cold, flu etc. free. It was specifically helpful when the kids were in school and I had to commute in crowded trains every day.
a former co-worker had same of the same issues as you...with teh bronchitis and such. This happened when he was stressed out and during the winter too.
but one day it went from bronchitis to pneumonia. You may want to be careful since you really dont want to go there. its just 1 level worse.
before he never had pneumonia, but after that 1st time, it became easier for it to happen - again and again just like you got the bronchitis.
good luck

Hopefull, due to the widespread symptoms. Comprehensive treatment of much greater effectiveness is coming.
