  Also organizing my stuff to sort things to sell,.store or give away and found EXACTLY the same part! I have a Mini-14 but that piece is in place and have NEVER bought one of those replacements because I don't need it.

  When cleaning my mini 14 I decided to remove that side plate. There was something behind it that launched into a low earth orbit. Took me forever to find it. A spring? Can't remember what it was but I decided not to do that again.
