The best “Hunting Video” I’ve ever seen!

An upcoming project has me researching mounting an AimPoint on a bolt gun. Doing so, lead me to this guy. I’d seen/heard of him before. But, just short clips. This is the first full video I’ve ever watched. 
The end result is part documentary, education, information, entertainment. The level of skill, science, ethics, and application are amazing. 
I wish I could do a hunt like this in my lifetime, but it’ll never happen. Still gonna build the rifle, though. 😁

    I have seen some of their stuff before,and the shooting skill at a moving animal(s) is amazing.

    I have seen him on a cable sportsman's channel several times now   one of the few hunting shows I enjoy.

    That is some amazing skill, and beautiful country to hunt. 

    An old hunting buddy of mine that grew up in Germany talked a lot about the difference in hunting cultures from Europe and America. Hunting in Europe (and especially Germany) was an activity for the wealthy and of high social standing. Hunts are elaborate affairs with ritual, pomp, and elaborate setups. Those with wild game meat on the table were seen as the elite. 

    For the most part, in America, hunting is viewed as a redneck, low class activity. More of a “git in the truck, cuz!  Them pigs are in the back 40!” Kind of activity.

    Franz-Albrecht is lethal with his Sauer 202. He is a very good shooter.
    Driven hunts require a lot of practice in shooting range with moving targets. Propably half of my deer are shot from driven hunts and it’s not easy to hit a running deer on the field or in the forest running between the trees.

    Here in Europe hunting culture is pretty different compared to US. Especially in the Middle European countries.

    I believe the rifle in the video is a Sauer 202 but they are no longer in production. Replaced I believe by the model 404 http://www.jpsauer-usa.com/sauer-404/ Absolute works of art. Looked hard at a 202 years ago but just couldn't justify the price tag. Wish now I had just done it.

    Caught a glimpse of the side of one of the guns and they are Sauer 404s.  They are gorgeous rifles!

    Actually the perfect rifle for that game is another German gun, the Blaser R8.  I think I caught a glimpse of one of them in one of the clips in the video.  That gun is FAST!!!!!  My buddy has one in .375H&H and he took it to Africa.  I never got to fire it but I did work the action on that rifle and it was insane smooth.

    I had some time on a Blaser several years ago.
    At first it was slower for me, since I kept trying to flip the bolt up :D
    Had to retrain my brain, and then I started enjoying it.

    Yeah I can see where that would happen.  It’s a bit counterintuitive at first but damn they are smooth!!!
