375’s first kill

Yesterday our deer season started. Beautiful, but windy evening.
I was laying on my favourite spot by the field.
At first there was nothing. Some pigeons flying through the skies.

At 8p.m I noticed as the deer was looking between the trees on the right side’s forest.
I took a 90deg turn at saw a fawn eating just outside the treeline. Couple of yards on the field.
I snapped CZ’s safety off and quickly put my croshair on top of the high shoulder.
Squeezed the trigger and 375 kicked. Much more gentle way than I had feared to shoot from prone position. It didn’t try to bite me.
I heard a huge slap as 250grain ttsx hit the fawn. It was slammed on it’s right side and it didn’t make a smallest movement after that.
I qathered my stuff and went to see results.
Huge hole in it’s back told me that I had taken aim a bit too high as the bullet’s path is about two inces high at that distance, about 150 yards.

Later at home when I skinned it I saw how a huge piece of spine had just disappeared. But it was a clean cut. No blood, no nothing. Like a bite.
Very happy to the rifle. It has hunting luck like all my rifles. Every single one has given me white tail on their first trip to hunt ’em
