Goofy, weird, and not practical. I love it! (Heritage Rancher Carbine)

Been kicking around the idea of getting one of these for a while. Last night I got the alert that Classic had them in stock. By this morning, they were sold out again. Oh well
I had to run an errand this morning, and was right by Academy as it opened, so I ducked in to see if they had any ammo I needed. And rigt there under the glass at the counter was this oddball. I had the guy get it out so I could actually get hands on with it. Counter guy said it came in last night, they only got one, and his co-worker was going to try and buy it that day.

….and they had the .22Mag cylinder in stock as well.
And it followed me home.
Range report soon!

Gun Review: Heritage Manufacturing .22LR Rancher Carbine - The Truth About Guns
"The Un-Tactical"
the review above is correct. This is not something to shoot without Eye-Pro. You get some gas with LR, but with mags- well, let’s just say I have a couple of new freckles. I’ll call heritage next week and see if they want to work on the timing. That may be why the Mag group is larger- it induces a bit of a flinch.

The new photo shows a pretty nice gun. Bigger view.
