  I don't checker anymore!! I found it causes blurred vision, slurred speech, high blood pressure, alcoholism, sudden onset touretts syndrome, and poltergeist (tools start to fly around the room!!)

  I did a couple or three rifles 24 years ago and did OK, but I'm too old and too blind to try it again.  Checkering on my No 4 would run $200+ and it just ain't worth it.  American Walnut, too, and that isn't the best checkering gunstock wood.
