I assume they would still be good and the price was good for either nostalgia or actual use in reloading in I ever run out of my newer primers.

BUT, I didn’t want t alarm my wife so I took one of her one billion decorative couch pillows and went to the basement thinking if I fire into the pillow it’ll just muffle the sound…
Do you have ANY idea how flammable those damn decorative pillows are? Yeah I didn’t either…

I had a dozen cases that I drilled the flash hole out to a larger diameter and I painted them black so I would not reload them with the good cases. That’s how I learned about primers backing out. If you didn’t drill a larger flash hole on regular cases the gun would lock up with every shot.
