Back from the working myself to death.

A few years back I fell off the non 80+hr workweek world. 7 12-16 hr days for 3 years and working out of town for a few more didn't leave me much time for much of anything. FTW I'm retired now. Kids are all grown so I can have a life again as well. I was digging through my stuff and found my old Beltfed project and googled MG47 which led me back to my post from way back when. Now that I have time between catching up around the house, building bikes and cars and hunting and fishing I'm going to get that and a few other firearm projects and loads worked up. Good to be back in the land of the living and not just working.

Thanks. I've been puttering around for the last few months catching up on 6 years of Honey Doo's. Now I'm getting my 40' weld testing facility converted into my new workshop. I'm going to get it off it's trailer next to my barn where I can tie it in to some 220. Then I can run the heat and AC as well as a few welding machines without having to run a generator. Digging out some old projects which is what led me back here. Getting ready for deer season now. I decided on 350 Legend for my Deer rifle because 450 Bushmaster seems a little excessive. I'm doing a lot of Biker stuff now as well as customizing my HHR  WC 53 project. I almost have too many things going on!!!

Staying busy for sure. My primary responsibility now is backup day care for my 11 month old Granddaughter. Good times. Can't wait to get her shooting and riding. Racked up a few thousand miles on my bike in the last month. 520 miles Sept11 riding to the Flight 93 Memorial round trip then 200+ on the 12 on the Dulles to Pentagon ride. Last Saturday was almost 300 miles doing the Baltimore Santa Ride before heading to Colonial Beach VA before heading home along with general transportation. I have rides most weekends into December. Then I'll start prepping my bike for the Ironbutt run to Daytona and the scenic route home. Tires, Clutch, etc I've recently done the valves so after that It should be good for another 30,000 miles or so.

Not sure retirement is the correct term for you HvyMax, seems to me your days might actually be longer now that they used to be with all that going on.
