25-06 is always the right choice
No. But, it seems the likely one in this case. 😁

All this .25-06 talk!  Had to break her out and check zero. It has been 9 years since I’ve shot this rifle.

First 3 rounds out of the gun this afternoon.
Adjusted 3/4” left and fired another.

Down 1/4” and called it good. Then, sent a round at 300 yards and hit just right of the pink dot (my bad wind call). She’s good for another 9 years.
Also broke out the 7mm Rem Mag I haven’t shot in years and just recently swapped scopes for an older 10x Leupold.

Quite a bit more recoil than the .25-06 but, that 162gr A-Max is MOVING!!
3,215 fps with Retumbo. I love that powder!

1/2” left and good. Then, hit the pink dot twice at 300 and put her up.

It is weird how the zero changes in the safe, some years I  take stuff out and it is just as I remember, other years it is 12 clicks at 100.

Cross country trip, 9 years, a move, and who knows what else. That wasn’t bad for being a little off.

Sorry.  I cannot get the Ballistics to post properly
Doesn't come out like yours Ernie, the table doesn't come out right
Maybe could you run these parameters though your programme and post
I think I have the same as you did but with my speed and bullet.
I'd be interested to know what your program comes up with
    Cheers.

They were when they were drinking and stuff, not so much lately. You need to go turn up Toys in the Attic or Back in the Saddle to 11 and enjoy the barometric change in the room

Well the problem never came up and I never got to use that spot at all. Before lunch I got a 7 point at around 50 yards from my tree stand so my hunting is over but thanks for all the info and I used my 25/06 to get the deer
