I can't pick my two new guns up from my local FFL yet.

He is a local gunsmith. He has informed me by email that one of his children tested positive for COVID this week. I was just in his shop a week ago without a mask on. I'm not vaxxed. I hope I don't come down with this. So far, I have no cold/fever-like symptoms. He says he will let me know when he is tested clear of this disease so I can come in and pick my guns up. I told him by email that I hoped for a speedy recovery for his child.
Now as a consumer who has already paid for the guns, how long can the FFL delay the transfer legally before I can have some kind of legal recourse against "somebody" myself? This gunsmith is a mom and pop operation who apparently doesn't have anybody else employed in his shop. I chose him over the local gun shop I used to use because his FFL transfer fees are cheaper. I now realize I got what I paid for when I elected to use a cheaper FFL. The local gun shop I used before was fully staffed with several people to do transfers.

You're joking right?
jimminy-crickets !!!
Has anybody here, or anybody you know of, had any FFL transfer delays for any of a number of reasons?
Also, my local gun shop is open 10-6 seven days a week except certain holidays. My local gunsmith only operates Monday - Friday 10-4 PM. The FFL guy out in the county operates by appointments only and I got delayed a day because he had a Masonic Lodge function.
How long would others here wait before considering some some sort of legal resolve? Here is my advice to others here: use the fully-staffed local gun shop as your FFL transfer point and pay their price. The local gun shop hires a number of employees so there's the overhead the customer pays for service.
This is what I hate about the federal gubmint and it's Gun Control Act of 1968 signed by that lunkhead Johnson and the crafting of the ATF. Without that, new gun sales would be just cash and carry as it was in the Old West. Big Brother stifles the economy and free enterprise.

Hahahaha! This stuff is awesome!!! It’s like he’s bipolar and talks to himself. A FULL on conversation!! He starts it……..answers his own questions……and concludes!!! Priceless!!

But, he’s improved with iterations. Refined his entertainment. Gotten better.
Worthless is more my take.
That……….is hilarious!!
