If it were me, I would call in a week or two and ask how its going. Unless he catches the coof and ends up being one of the .0007% that gets it bad, he will be open in a week or so.
As to having to wait. Massive whaaa. Dont take anything oddball to a gunsmith because you may take a flying leap off a bridge when you dont get it back for 6 months.
It's boring, and your lack of creativity knows no bounds.
It's 28 degrees in Southwest Oklahoma right now. I can't help but chillin'. For now, I will hold my tongue for at least two weeks. Oh, I now have proofs of delivery in my files for each of the two guns, one from UPS and the other from USPS. This is always prudent to do with high-value mail-ordered items. Yes, right now I have (hopefully) sufficient weaponry for concealed carry outside my home and home defense. One of my new guns held by the gunsmith under quarantine is a Glock 45 9mm and the other is a new Smith & Wesson Governor with silver finish. I'm using a Smith 642 Airweight .38 Special right now with a meager 5-shot capacity for concealed carry. I'd like to have 17 in the magazine in case, Lord forbid, some nutty gunman shows up at my local Walmart El Paso, Tx style. The Governor is to be a sidearm out in the boonies against snakes and other dangerous animals. The Glock, my city carry gun. My Remington 870 pump gun is my current home-defense weapon. This is a brave new world indeed. Man up to it.
If you (truly, since I doubt you have any guns...) have "over $1500" invested in those two guns you've got bigger problems than a delayed transfer.
Would you like me to post pictures here? I could post copies of gun receipts but I can't disclose my true legal name here.
The total of the new Glock 45 9mm with all GB fees was in excess of $600. The total of the new Smith Governor with all GB fees was in excess of $800. By the time transfer fees are paid, $30 per gun, my calculator indicates the cumulative cost of these two handguns will be $1,512.84 out of my pocket just to get these two boxed guns in the trunk of my car. These guns aren't no Charter Arms or Tauruses.

This is my current carry gun. You can see pics of my shotgun on my minty Mossberg 500 thread. This silver Smith 642-2 Airweight will go in my kitchen drawer next to the silverware when I get my Glock 9mm for carry. The Smith Gov will go in the lavatory medicine chest when it's not carried in the boonies for wild animal protection. I live in bachelor pad with no children present.
In another thread by the same author, I did say ,as a Mod, I'd refrain. I've kept my word. But this has been tough. I probably won't make that promise again.

That’ll do ya for most needs. If you do your part.
Yes, one well-placed .38 bullet out of five could in theory stop a rabid dog attack or even some nut with an AR and a Norinco drum shooting up a Wally World or a movie thee-ATER. Thankfully, my odds of getting killed by lightning are even greater than the need to fire a gun out of fear. Oklahoma is a permit-less-carry state now. Mass shooters don't mess around with people in Redneck America. See what happens to church shooters in Texas.
David has managed to cool himself down a while and get himself up righted again! Must have been that chill pill I slipped into his dog food.
I have been smiling and laughing some at the absurdity of it myself...Amusing, yet stupid distraction.

How about more pics of David? That's a cool looking dog. 👍

I have read all three pages of this post, and I'm embarrassed, I have harassed my wife about watching "Housewives" and I read this entire post?
I'm so ashamed!
At least none of the posts have been about belly dancing 🤣

That chill pill will wear off eventually.
No comments in awhile.
Maybe the cellar dweller picked the guns up.
