A bit of family range time....and trying the new acquisitions out.
Called my nephew about bringing the boys out. They're 8 and 11.
The 11 year old can shoot and it doesn't matter the what.
He's been anxious to try a handgun too so I picked one that I thought was appropriate.
For the kids I brought little annie.
It's an anschutz woodchucker 22 rifle....it is small...it is also precise.
I consider it one of the best training tools in the box.
The handgun was an old air weight kit gun.

The 8 year old was first to shoot
He was ringing the target.
Quite the relief as last time out none of the guns fit and he didn)'t get to shoot at all.
His name is Emmitt and when finished I called the gun an Emmitt special which he liked judging by the grin.
His brother we had chase bullet holes. My nephew actually videotaped it.
Clean painted target.
Had him put one center head.
He did great.... a squirrels head wouldn't have survived the test.
He was even hitting with the handgun more than I thought he would.
I also shot just a bit to try the new/old wheel guns that pored in recently.
Just two rounds each to see what they were like.
I forgot how loud a 357 is.....been awhile
The 32-20......shockingly mild
Hey my first time shooting one.
The HD 38 special in an N frame is tame as it get also.
A good memorable range trip for the boys I think.
Even told a story about my passed father. Pop to them and one of his shooting exploits which didnt turn out so well.
In case your wondering Enzo as much as I'm a Pita sarcastic sob I do think it's going to be a keeper but you would have been #1

You have been more than generous with me and many here sharing your finds, especially in times of need. You know anything that’s mine is yours if you ever need/want it… unless it’s something the kids already laid claim to. They’ll beat me if I give away anything I’ve already promised to them, they are kind’a mean that way 😬
I'm pretty sure we could spend an hour or more just opening a safe and talking about the history of the contents.
