Let's try something new. I only get to cook breakfast on the weekends and have a nice variety on the menu. So let's hear what's on your weekend menu.

I'll start the weekend with BATs for breakfast!

Fresh thick cut butcher shop bacon, Arugula and, thickly sliced tomato. You can have a slice of avocado is you wish. Fresh fruit salad, OJ and your choice of Starbucks' Major Dickenson's blend or my wife's Foo Foo coffee. Arugula has a lot more flavor than lettuce.

Busy weekends for me.  Usually get by with a quick cup of black coffee while dressing.  Love my job but miss my big Sunday breakfasts.  Making up for it today.  Getting crepes and bacon with a huge Latte!!! 👍

Just had pancakes and thick cut applewood bacon Saturday....... for dinner!

Breakfast is normally a 1/2 PB&J. Weekends is sometimes cereal, or oatmeal. We did go all out for Sunday breakfast last weekend.

Before the heart attack, 3-4 eggs over medium 1/2 lb bacon or 1/2 can if sliced Spam ,grits lots of salt coffee, since then oat meal, cold cereal , maybe an egg and 2 strips bacon with some grits, no or little salt.
Must be something right about the new diet, heart attack was 1-11-06 ,6 days in coma, still here and no more heart attacks.

Breakfast burittos. One with sausage and one wth bacon. Grilled onions, green peppers and a little cheese.

Most favorite is biscuits and sausage gravy.
    2nd is SOS.
3rd (and the one I get most often) 3 eggs fried over-easy and 2 slices of buttered toast.

I can't remember the last time I ate breakfast on a workday, though. I'm not hungry at 4 AM. But, if I retire, breakfast will be my "big" meal of the day.

Strange....as good as that sounds, (and I'm sure it is), I've never been able to do spicy or cheese in the morning. My wife has tried a variety of cheese omelettes on me for breakfast.....but I just can't do it. And peppers at breakfast....it'll get cold while I just stare at it. Wish I could, though....it always looks delicious.

But...worst of all....my MIL likes to serve crossants with lemon curd.....God Bless her little heart.

I have that problem when I get up early. I have to split it up into two breakfasts. When I get up (<5:00) I drink 1/2 a glass of water. When I get to work I eat 1 piece of bread with a little PB&J. Then at 8:00-8:30 I eat another. Also have two bottles of water finished by 9:00...

On the weekends, I like to do Sausage biscuits with egg or sausage gravy. Stuff that takes longer.

Weekdays I usually do a low carb high fiber cereal.
    Waffles with peanut butter.

Sometimes I willl take a muffin tin and spray with veggie spray, Lay a thin piece of deli ham in the hole. Crack and egg on top. Add a pinch of shredded cheese, salt and pepper or other things. Bake at 350 degrees F for 15 minutes. or until hard. You can take them out early if you like running eggs. I do not.

Or as a cheat, I like good ramen and drop whipped eggs and sriracha in the mix while boiling.. Sometimes Parmesan  or very small amount sesame oil. Very fast and good on a cold day.

Made the mistake of asking for “Cowboy Size”….

5 eggs over medium with 1/2 lb of bacon and a ton of potatoes….

I’m embarrassed to say I finished it all 😱

On a normal weekend my breakfast is usually taken to go while on the road early in the morning. There's a few really good breakfast burrito spots on the way to some of my favorite mountain hideaways. Left to my own devices at home I prefer something with bacon and thick toast or tortillas.

Segueing from that, I have been fortunate enough to be able to take a few trips a year with a core group of reliable friends, and other attendees coming and going as the situation allows. We pretty consistently cook our own meals, and our breakfast is almost always eggs, bacon, tortillas, and avocado.

Right now my usual Sunday breakfast is a big waffle with peanut butter and honey, depending on my work schedule.

I forgot to add these are made with scrambled eggs and most times the ones I make for myself there is grilled mushrooms added.
Another favorite of mine is  cornbread sandwich made with bacon and eggs or sausage and what ever fixins that's in the cupboard.

I think all the years of working various shifts has jacked my eating schedule up.  I very rarely eat breakfast.  Just a cup of coffee.  Which usually means I'm starving by lunch time and I usually don't eat lunch until late afternoon, so I tend to over eat.  Which then causes me to not be hungry for supper.  Because of that and being on the go a lot, it's not uncommon for me to only eat once per day.

During the summer on my days off, I'm usually out the door at sunup to get work done before it get's crazy hot out, go inside and eat lunch and do stuff inside during the heat of the day, then back out in the evening to work outside again.  When it's hot like that, I don't care to eat hot meals.  Cold stuff like sandwiches and salads is what I usually go for.

A few years back, I was scheduled for a colonoscopy at 2 PM. The day before was what you'd expect, including nothing solid after noon the previous day. By the time the procedure was over...I found a restaurant still serving breakfast. $38 later....i was ok.

We grow a few simple herbs and peppers. Sometimes we take fresh chives, mix into cream cheese and add into scrambling eggs.

Morn'n, cold and wintry here in Pittsburgh with a rain/snow mix, I'm staying inside today. It will be in the seventies by mid-week. It's spring, go figure.

Breakfast was made on the fly. I picked up a ham steak at the butcher shop yesterday, so I figured that would taste good in a skillet mix. Fried home fried potatoes, onion, tomato, Roja sauce, ham, smoked pepper jack and sharp cheddar cheese,  cilantro, salt and peppered to taste. Some simple scrambled eggs, fresh strawberries, whole grain toast, and mango/orange toast to clear the pallet. You have your choice of Starbucks dark roast or what ever Foo Foo coffee the wife is drinking.

    Have a nice day  :)

I love a poached egg, 1 avocado, and 2 pieces of potato bread toast on a weekday. Weekends will usually be biscuits and gravy with bacon, and/or burritos. And refried beans any day!
