It wasn't till this morning that I remembered I have (I think I still have it...) a RB/RP Tikka T-3 Stainless Lite/Synthetic stock, that is new in the box, chambered in 30-06. I picked it up several years ago for a loaner gun, and it has never been shot. I think it is their lightweight one. I will need to check that later this week. I totally forgot about it, until this morning.
But I was wrong on one point. It is NOT stainless.
Everything else was correct.
Someone might be a little surprised, disgusted, amused (not sure of the emotion) that I would forget that I had a new Tikka rifle for 2-3 years. I still have not checked to see when I got it.
It is a right-hand Tikka T-3 Lite/Synthetic stock, that is new in the box, chambered in 30-06.
It is still mine.
Zee thought I might have been jerking his chain at first about having this new rifle
Right, I'm disappointed in you lot . My main hunting calibre for years, as you know and there is a discussion that no one alerts me about.
I haven't experimented with the newer Hornady projectiles as I'm comfortable with my supply of the older Amax in one and the Nosler Bt 120gr in the other. However. Zee Get a Sako in the same calibre, you may well forsake all others. (well for awhile)
The flight was uneventful, which is what one wants when one is transporting an Elephant. Reuters, Dec 2020.

Picked up as a loaner gun? Dare I ask, right handed?
