Looking for ammo...

GilaGila Posts: 1,968 Senior Member
I recently acquired a new Sig P220 Legion in 10mm.  I'm looking for carry ammo for it at a reasonable price.  Anyone got any suggestions?

BTW, if I can find my roundtoit, I'll post a photo of it here...  B)

Trueshot only has FMJ, and that I have; same brand too.  Thanks!

I'll fire up my Delorean and check out 2019...

Define reasonable… and if you have a DeLorean and enough banana peels to feed the Flux Capacitor shoot back to 1920 and bring me back some 38-55!

I dont think I have ever associated reasonable cost with 10mm ammunition.  Its always been some of the most expensive factory stuff, even when downloaded to .40 S&W velocities.  I currently can not recall the last time I came across 10mm on a store shelf.

Sorry, but the DeLorean got wrecked when I returned from the last trip.  That was a close one.  Guess yer gonna hafta reload...

I think the last time I spotted the two at the same time the .45-70 was less expensive than the .444 Marlin.

Local Cabelas and Sportsmans were both out of 10mm when I looked today.

Finding ammo just sucks right now. If you haven’t been reloading for the last 8 years your kinda in the woods, deep in the woods…..

I can't reload for the Sig as it voids the warranty...  until I've put a couple thousand rounds through it and properly broken it in.  Besides, I don't have any dies for it yet...  :#

SIG SAUER warrants that the enclosed firearm was originally manufactured free of defects in material, workmanship, and mechanical function.  For the lifetime of the original purchaser, SIG SAUER agrees to correct any defect in the firearm for the original purchaser by repair, adjustment, or replacement, at SIG SAUER’s option, with the same or comparable quality components (or by replacing the firearm at SIG SAUER’s option); provided however that a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) is first obtained by contacting SIG SAUER Customer Service, and the firearm is returned unloaded and freight prepaid to SIG SAUER at 18 Industrial Drive, Exeter, NH 03833.

This limited warranty is null and void if the firearm has been misused, damaged (by accident or otherwise), fired with hand loaded, reloaded, or improper ammunition, fired with an obstruction in the barrel, damaged through failure to provide reasonable and necessary maintenance as described in the manual accompanying the firearm, or if unauthorized repair or any alteration, including of a cosmetic nature, has been performed on the firearm.  This limited warranty does not apply to normal wear and tear of any parts.

Subject to the foregoing, this limited warranty confers the right to have the covered firearm or its parts repaired, adjusted, or replaced exclusively upon the original purchaser, which right is not transferable to any other person.  This warranty does not apply to any accessory items attached or appurtenant to the firearm.

REPAIR, ALTERATION, OR REPLACEMENT AS PROVIDED HEREIN IS YOUR EXCLUSIVE REMEDY FOR ANY DEFECTIVE PRODUCT. Have you checked Ammunition to go?

Prices range from 98¢ per round to $1.90 for jhp ammo. It could be worth checking out.
I reload and don't need any ammo but the prices seem good.

That's where I bought my FMJ.  They don't have anything else.

Thanks!  Southern Munitions had a variety.  We have a Sportsman's Warehouse in Tucson, and they tend to be overpriced.  AmmoSeek wouldn't let me register for reasons unknown, but no matter, I've got ammo coming.

You don’t need to register to do a search.  I’m not registered and I do it all the time.  The stuff in SW was priced well but I’m glad you found ammo.

Was at my fav outdoor shop and they had lots of 10mm defense ammo. But only 3 types. Sig 180gr, Winchester 180gr, and some kind of Hornady. Priced from $31 to $37 for 25 rounds....https://www.finfeatherfur.com/
