I pre-ordered it on 4K ultra HD disc yesterday.  Will ship as soon as it's available.

The last movie I saw in a theatre was American Sniper (2014).  Before that, it was Rambo (2008).  My record for seeing movies at the theatre indicates that it's highly unlikely for that to happen in this case.
Good to know that there are people out there EVEN LESS prone to go out and interact with their fellow man than myself. :D
    That's part of it.  I don't like people...  :D

But, Gene mentioned one of the other big reasons I don't like going to theatres.  They are beyond loud. There's no reason it has to be THAT loud.  It annoys me.

The other part is, it's too damn expensive.  I spent $30 on the 4K disc pre-order.  Probably half what it would have cost me at the theatre, once you factor in all the high dollar junk food and drinks.  Much less going to one of the new ones that serve beer..

I guess I'm a little behind the times when it comes to movies.  I still buy them on DVD/Blueray/4K disc.  But I only buy movies I care to watch multiple times.  Others, I'll just watch or rent on Prime Video and be done with them.  I think the last two recent movies I bought on 4K were 1917 and Midway.
Airplane bottle sized Bacardi X2, save and refill, can't remember the last time I did not enjoy an adult beverage at the theatre. I am 3 blocks from our theatre in town though. Box of Reese's Pieces and I am good. Our theatre will sell a punch card so you save a bit there and that expense is prepaid, just have to pay for you mix of choice and something to nibble on, a little planning ahead goes a long way. I like the surround sound on fairly loud and I usually sit within the first 5 rows

I man be in the minority, but I enjoy going to an actual movie theatre for the right movies. When they started selling alcohol at the local theatres it was all the better.

One of my more entertaining memories is when a few friends and I went to see "Hobbs and Shaw" (a "Fast and Furious" spin off, with about the same quality) during a weeknight. As we sat down in the theatre with our 32oz beers we looked around and realized we were the only tenants there. In light of this we treated the movie more like a football game at a sports bar, jeering and adding our own commentary between trips back to the concessions stand. I don't remember all the finer details of the movie, but I do remember needing to call an Uber to get home...

Wife and I are thinking about seeing it at the theatre - we're just not sure if they have mutaween enforcing the mask religion.
In Florida?!?!?  Oh I seriously doubt it…
I do too, but there's the occasional True Believer.

    Wear veils...

Yep - that's what I was doing when the Mutaween were to be found everywhere. Now, I just push back.

I express myself with my money and Google reviews.  When confronted with a true believer business (several of them in liberal, hippy Asheville, NC) I turn around the second they demand a mask and leave a BAD review on Google.

The front half of the movie was cheese. The second half was pretty good.
    Agreed.

Having been in the Navy I have to greatly temper my expectations with any movies like this, but there were a few too many parts that had me squirming. Entertaining for sure.

I finally saw it, very good for the most part.  A lot of **** moments like that snaking dive towards the ground.  If you buy the F35 was not a better choice, why at least did they not have them covering their egress?  The gen 5 SU 57s would have taken out the F14 from 50 miles away.  Watched a video with 4 navy pilots talking about the film and one said everything flying he had done in the F18 except that snaking thing. He also flew F22s and said it is so far superior. No 4th aircraft stood a chance against them, much less a 1970s F14.  And that was the A model which suffered from compressor stalls at high angle of attack.  Anyhow, good movie, lots of hollwood made up stuff. Lots of realism.
