Meet Gus our newest ranch hand

Everyone, meet our latest ranch hand Gus! He's an twelve week old Catahoula/Hanging Tree mix. Part border collie, Catahoula & Kelpie mix (cattle dog). He followed us home from Tractor Supply a little over a week ago. I was in Tractor Supply shopping for a gate bracket. He was in a cart with a young couple shopping. I said he's beautiful! They said do you want him? I said that decision goes to my wife whose in the truck in the parking lot. I come out and Denise was holding him! I knew right then and there he was coming home with us. Very lovable, he fell in the with other critters nicely!
He's the smartest puppy I've ever had. He's nearly house broken at three months. Haven't had an accident since last Thursday. He uses the two doggy doors to go out back on his own. When we brought him home, Denise pushed him through the first dog door on the back porch. He saw the other critters go out the other dog door to the back yard. He followed them like he's been doing for a while. With everyone of the other dogs, the dog door was always and interesting endeavor. It always took multiple times of pushing them through and leaving them in the backyard to figure they're way in.
He's just been a great addition to the ranch!
